Berry Festival Fable
In the quiet meadow of Willowbend, the animals were preparing for the Golden Leaf Fair.
Everyone was busy and cheerful — banners were being hung, songs were being practiced, and tables were ready for treats.
Just before the fair began, Little Goat decided to help by ringing the old bell that announced the celebration. He tugged the rope a bit too hard, and clang!—the bell pole wobbled and fell, scattering lanterns all over the meadow.
“Oh dear,” bleated Goat sadly. “I’ve ruined everything.”
Hedgehog, Deer, Mouse, and Owl quickly gathered around. The lanterns were dented, and the pole lay broken on the ground. The fair could not begin without the bell.
“Don’t worry,” said Owl kindly. “We can fix this together.”
Deer used his strong antlers to lift the pole upright. Hedgehog carefully carried the lanterns on his spines. Mouse tied knots with quick little paws, and Goat held the pole steady, being extra careful this time.
By the time the moon rose, the bell stood tall again, and the lanterns glowed brighter than before.
The Golden Leaf Fair began with music, laughter, and a gentle bell ringing across the meadow. Goat was given the honor of ringing it once more — slowly and proudly.
Moral: Everyone makes mistakes, but friendship and teamwork help turn problems into happy endings.
